THE MINDSET OF THE WEALTHY PART4

Image
Here is the concluding series and  Grande  finale on the mindset of the wealthy. To be wealthy, there is the need for a mind reset about money, risks, investments, time and jobs. Take time to reassess your perspective about these paramount issues, and set a course of action to produce your desired results. Remember, you are a product of what you think and believe. Never allow yourself be deterred by obstacles on your journey to being wealthy, rather see the obstacles as wind upon which you soar. Scot Anderson, in his book “think like a billionaire, become a billionaire” , pp 129-131, identified three categories of people. 1. The Quitter ; who readily gives up. 2. The Settler ; who easily gives in and settles in her comfort zone. 3. The Achiever ; who is the go-getter. Which would you rather be? Wealth is always attracted to value, to increase in wealth, there must be a corresponding increase in your problem solving abilities. A technique on problem solving cull...

Part 3 Still on the topic of being wealthy. We'll consider the issue of opportunities, sometimes they are right in front of us, but because we are not prepared for them, we fail to recognize and take good advantage of them. How well are you prepping for opportunities? You can learn almost anything 🆓 or for a token.👩‍💻👩‍💻👩‍💻 Get wisdom, knowledge and understanding about issues, subjects, career or that job of i...

The mindset of the wealthy continued.... Part 2

Part Two: A major skill that everyone that desires to be wealthy must acquire is SELF CONTROL, this helps to exercise caution, and practice delayed gratification. Note, an important fuel for self control is VISION, "without vision, people perish". If you have a vision to pay rent, pay back a loan or pay your kids' tuition,  you will definitely find a way to save for it.  This vision is what drives you and keeps you committed, thus you cannot afford to indulge in certain excesses that you would want to.   Hence the vision drives you to action. All you need do is start with "baby steps", it could be a small commitment of buying certain amount of shares per week or per month, steady investment of at least 10% of your income in another business on a monthly basis and so on. That said, never underestimate the power of giving, no mater how small. Food for thought : How big is your vision? Is your vision placing a limit on God's capability? Remember, in 2 Kings cha...

THE MINDSET OF THE WEALTHY Part 1

Part 1  Here are some tips that I have garnered from my search on how to attain financial success. Being wealthy begins with your mindset! How do you perceive wealth, is it a must have or something to be avoided ? What is your mindset and perception about Money, Investments, Job, Risk, Time and Problems? (Scot Anderson, 2006). On Money , whenever you have some extra cash, a raise, bonus or promotion, what is the first thing you think about? How to spend more or how to invest? Do you perceive being wealthy as evil or ungodly? On Investments , what are the most important things to you? What are your valuable assets? What is your worth? Let’s say we are to place a value on you and all you own today, what will it amount to? That is the real value of your investments.   On Jobs , what’s your take? Do you work for money or believe in making money work for you? Do you work so as to be enabled to invest more, or you work so as to spend more? On Risks , are you afraid to take ...
